Thinking About Studying Abroad?

Millikin believes that in order to truly understand the global economy in which we live and work, we must immerse ourselves into our international world. For that reason, Millikin students have the opportunity to live and study in other countries where they participate in lectures, group projects, company visits, and cultural tours. The Center for International Education (CIE) at Millikin University is proud to sponsor several ongoing international opportunities. With the CIE you can live and study all around the world in places such as London, China, Spain, Ireland, and many more for a few weeks (with immersions, including summer courses), or for a full semester.

Academic Credit for Study Abroad

Do you want Millikin academic credit for studying abroad? Most of our full semester programs offer academic credit while also delivering a rich cultural experience. Some of our programs are led by Millikin faculty who choose to travel with students. Other programs are offered through collaborative arrangements and partnerships with institutions in the host country of your choice!

The Center for International Education (CIE) helps prepare MU students to become extraordinary citizens, community members and national and global leaders. These values stem from Millikin's mission to "prepare students for professional success, democratic citizenship in a global environment, and a personal life of meaning and value". Study Abroad students have the opportunity to study in numerous locations in 20 different countries. For requirements and guidelines please visit Eligibility & Steps to Apply.

International Fellows Program

Millikin offers the International Fellows Program as an opportunity for students with financial need to study abroad during their sophmore, junior, or senior year. For information about awards, eligibility requirements, or to apply, visit the International Fellows Program.
