Staley Library requests trials of e-resources to gather knowledge and feedback about their potential usefulness to support Millikin University's curriculum. A trial does not guarantee an eventual purchase of the e-resource.
(on-campus only, through May 12, 2014): a digital library of some of the most studied and performed plays from the last 2500 years, including authors such as Aeschylus, Ibsen, Chekhov, Coward, Wilde, and Stoppard, and including new writing from current playwrights. Also includes a collection of nonfiction titles on theatre craft, technical theatre, history, etc.
Mango Languages (through April 30, 2014): Click on "Learn" tab on the left side of the screen to get started. 57 foreign language and 17 English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. Lessons that use audio from native speakers and focus on everyday situations.
Met Opera on Demand (through April 30): access to over 450 performances, including Live in HD presentations, classic
telecasts, and radio broadcasts. The video performances come with English
subtitles (and sometimes other language subtitle options) and plot synopses.
