PACE for Adult Learners
An accelerated degree program for working adults.
If you are a working adult interested in completing a bachelor’s degree, PACE at Millikin is the solution. The Professional Adult Comprehensive Education (PACE) degree combines all the attributes of a prestigious, accredited Millikin University degree with the flexibility of a busy adult’s schedule. This program continues Millikin’s reputation of meeting the needs of its students and community.
PACE students transfer in courses from previously-attended schools. Millikin holds articulation agreements with area community colleges that identify courses meeting Millikin requirments.
PACE offers a time-wise solution to finish degrees in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Nursing, Accounting, Criminal Justice, and Organizational Leadership. PACE provides a focused learning environment, which is perfect for those who have been away from the academic world.

Admissions Requirements
Students must meet the following admission criteria:

Have earned at least 45 transferable semester credits* with a minimum GPA of 2.0

Be 24 years of age or older

Have 3 years of work experience
Individuals not meeting one of the above requirements may petition for a waiver. Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.
Admissions Process
Applicants must submit the following:
- PACE Application form
- Two completed reference forms
- A writing sample validating writing competency
- Official transcripts from all accredited institutions of higher learning previously attended
If you need financial assistance, you will need to fill out the FAFSA.
