Ngozi Onuora teaches Introduction to American Education, Children's Literature, and Technology for Elementary Teachers for the undergraduate program and is a PACE instructor. Aside from that, she supervises student teachers.

"The PACE program offers adult students an opportunity to attend college after years out of high school or to return to college and take classes during times that are conducive to a busy, adult lifestyle. For people who have families and work full-time, the traditional college day poses some challenges. PACE alleviates some of these challenges. In addition, PACE provides adult learners an environment in which they can form collegial relationships with other adult students who share similar life situations and educational backgrounds. The accelerated pace of the courses allows adult students to scaffold new knowledge at a faster rate as they capitalize on their past experiences, many of which are directly related to the coursework in which they are involved."

"Teaching for PACE is part of my 12-hour course load. I'm glad that I teach for PACE, because adult students bring so many varied and enriching experiences to the classroom. They want to be there, and they want to share what they know and what they have learned. I always learn so much from my PACE students. I also like the fact that adult learners vocalize how they feel about issues, course content, etc. They are not afraid of challenges, and they work hard to achieve and do well in their coursework. The quality of their work is usually "grade A" and this makes teaching PACE students fun, rewarding, and challenging for me. It pushes me to reflect and continually grow as an instructor."
