The month of June marked the beginning of a journey for incoming first-year students at Millikin University. Millikin faculty members, staff and current students welcomed over 450 new students for Orientation and Registration on June 27, 28 and 29.
Throughout Orientation and Registration, students consider what they want to be a part of while attending Millikin. During the day-long program students register for classes, receive their housing assignments, meet fellow classmates, become familiarized with the campus and connect with faculty and current students.
"We help parents with the transition of coming to college and help the students get an idea of what college life is going to be here at Millikin University," said Paul Lidy, director of Residence Life at Millikin.
Molly Berry, director of Inclusion and Student Engagement at Millikin added, "It's always exciting to welcome new students and there's always great energy on campus with Orientation and Registration."
