The Bachelor of Music degree with an
emphasis in Piano Performance has several options for electives within
both university studies and in the emphasis itself providing a sizable
block of elective credits which you may choose to use in different ways.
Choosing these classes carefully can greatly enhance the focus and the
value of the degree program.
You may choose to elect additional courses
in music theory, music history for additional depth of knowledge in
those areas within the Piano Performance
emphasis. Or, you may choose to elect courses in art, literature, history
or foreign language which will deepen your awareness of the world setting
in which the music you perform was originally composed, and is performed
today. Furthermore, you may choose electives in order to explore new
opportunities or experiences or to develop a career profile otherwise
unsupported by
offerings in the Piano Performance emphasis. |
