Millikin Academic Interdisciplinary Conferences

Each spring, the Millikin Interdisciplinary Faculty Conference provides a venue for faculty to share their expertise with one another and learn from Interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary exchange. The 2015 Spring semester was no exception as faculty, staff, administration, students, and members of the Board of Trustees gathered to participate in the "Advancing Performance Learning" MIFC on Friday, February 20, 2015. Our keynote speaker was Dr. Marcia Mentkowski, Senior Scholar for Educational Research and Professor Emerita of Psychology at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has served as visiting scholar and graduate faculty member of Harvard University, visiting fellow at The University of Oxford in 2003, and is currently a Fellow of both the American Psychological Association and a Fellow of the American Educational Research Association. Her topic, "Conceptualizing Performance Learning," provided an excellent foundation for the twenty-five presentations on how faculty continue to advance Performance Learning at Millikin University.
