Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for supervising and training Technical Support Specialist I positions
• Responsible for the delegation and completion of work orders
• Responsible for assisting in training and supervision of student technicians
• Responsible for the workstation support of all faculty, administrative, and student lab computers - hardware and software
• Responsible for the creation of desktop images for all new computers for faculty and administrative users
• Responsible for the maintenance of general access lab computers including the thin client physical devices
• Utilize the work order system to enter work orders, delegate work, and prioritize work for computer hardware and software issues
• Responsible for setup of new and existing printers and printing services, records, and installations
• Responsible for administering users and computer rights in Active Directory
• Responsible for assistance with mobile devices for Millikin employees on paid university plans
• Works closely with the System Administrator in the deployment of SCCM
• Responsible for the administration of Deep Freeze
• Responsible for proper recycling of old equipment
• Responsible for assisting students with personally owned computers for use on the Millikin Network
• Responsible for Network troubleshooting in conjunction with the Network Administrator
• Responsible for building and maintaining Group Policy restrictions as necessary for security
• Provide assistance to other technical support specialists
• Work on and direct special projects as needed
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars etc. as required by the supervisor
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
