Do I have to bring my own computer?

In most cases, employees are provided a Millikin-owned computer, which is supported by Information Technology.  If you require a speciality software or hardware, please contact Information Technology and your Department Chair for more information.

Does Millikin have wrieless internet access?

Yes!  As of Fall 2013, nearly all of our campus has secured wireless.  Soon, the sports fields and Griswold gym will have wireless as well.  For more information, click here.

What software is installed on Millikin owned computers?

Software may vary slightly depending on location.  Microsoft Office is found on all Millikin-owned computers.  All general access computers will have an up-to-date web browser.  Specialty software may be installed for instruction purposes in some locations.  Please contact Information Technology well in advance if you have software you need installed on Millikin-owned equipment.

What happens if I have problems with a computer?

If you need support with a Millikin-owned computer, please submit a work order by logging in to the myMILLIKIN portal and selecting IT Work Orders.  You may also contact us with technology-related questions by sending an email to infotech@millikin.edu, calling 217.362.6488, or visiting our office in Shilling 106 between the ours  8 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday.
