Effective April 1, 2012:

Downloads of Microsoft software products through Varsitybuys.com are encouraged to purchase a DVD copy of the program to keep as a backup copy. The DVD is offered simply as insurance should the computer crash or if the user plans on installing the program on a different computer.

Will my Microsoft download still work after April 1^st 2012?

Yes, if you have previously purchased a Microsoft product from us and downloaded it to your computer it will still be fully functional.

Will I have access to download my product after April 1^st 2012 if I need to reinstall my Microsoft product?

After April 1^st 2012 downloads will be available for 30 days from the date of purchase.

I would like a backup copy of my purchase made prior to April 1^st 2012. How can I get this?

You may purchase a DVD copy of the program via VarsityBuys.com for $9.95 to keep as a backup copy.

The email stated Office was available, however I purchased Windows 7. Is a backup DVD of that product available?

Yes, any product that is still a current version that was purchased via VarsityBuys.com is available. The backup DVD copy costs $9.95.

How long will it take before I receive my backup DVD?

Due to high demand we currently have a 10-14 day lead time before shipping.

Am I required to purchase the DVD?

No, you are not required. The DVD is offered simply as insurance should your computer crash or you plan on installing the program on a different computer. To reiterate, no further purchase is required if you do not want a backup copy.

I am a School or faculty/staff member that qualifies for Microsoft Work at Home purchases. If I make a purchase after April 1^st 2012 will I still have access to a backup copy of my download?

Going forward your download will be available for 30 days. If you would like access to a backup copy beyond 30 days you have two different options. The first option would be to purchase a backup copy of the media for $9.95. The second option would be to purchase a Download Data Locker for $9.95 that gives you access to downloads for two full years.
