Standard 5: Faculty
In this section we present evidence that the Unit consists of faculty who are qualified and model best professional practices in scholarship, service, and teaching. Professional education faculty have strong collaborative relationships with clinical faculty and school faculty. Together, they provide a rich knowledge base and a wide array of expertise for our teacher candidates. Professional faculty take their own effectiveness seriously as it relates to candidate performance. They continually self-evaluate their courses, their pedagogy and their own professional development in a rapidly changing field. (NCATE Professional Standards 2002 Edition)
