Peer Tutoring

students working together

Plan to Succeed. Work with a Tutor.

The Student Success Center provides free peer tutoring for Millikin students by appointment-only basis. Our tutor services are designed and delivered according to the best practices and standards of the Association for the Tutoring Profession. Tutors coordinate with faculty and offer students opportunities to review concepts, practice problem-solving skills, develop effective study strategies, improve time management, develop effective test preparation strategies, and network with successful students in their discipline.

Need a Peer Tutor?

Weekly scheduled tutoring starts the second week of the fall and spring semesters and is available Sunday - Thursday when Millikin is in session. Alternative tutor times are possible by pre-arranged appointment. Feel free to stop by the Student Success Center for more information as our offerings are updated frequently. If you are taking a class that doesn't have a peer tutor and would like one, contact Anna Fishbein, acfishbein@millikin.edu.

Want to be a Peer Tutor?

Current Millikin students should speak with a faculty member in the course or discipline they want to tutor. A faculty member must approve you to tutor. If you want to know more about becoming a peer tutor, please contact contact Anna Fishbein, acfishbein@millikin.edu or by calling 217.424.6398.
