Spring is coming...
and so is the spring issue of Millikin Quarterly magazine. Articles we're working on for the issue include a story about the extraordinary life of Fred Long, Millikin's first African-American graduate. Other articles feature individuals who are working with the homeless, Hollywood memorabilia and a new Millikin initiative called the Hub. Watch your mailbox in early April for your free copy.

Remember the '70s...?
Even if you don't, we'll hope you'll send us your best guess of the answer to this issue's musical trivia question.

What was the first song played in 1972 when WJMU radio debuted?

A. "Alone Again (Naturally)" by Gilbert
     O’Sullivan

B. "What Is Life?" By George Harrison
C. "American Pie" by Don McLean
D. "Without You" by Nilsson

Send your best guess to
alumnews@millikin.edu, and be sure to include your name and address. Five winners will be selected in a random drawing of all who respond correctly and each will receive a Millikin prize. Last issue's winners --

Joe '72 & Evie Coen Gill '73
Kim Ryan '07
Bob Feldhake '09
Sarah Whitt Reed '89
Anna McGinnis Ratliff '95

Each received a Millikin chip clip for their correct guess that the photo shown was of a portion of the cornice above the front entrance to Perkinson Music Center.
