URBINO (Session #1- May 29 & Session #2- June 26)
Urbino is a walled city in the Marche region in Italy, northeast of Urbania, a World Heritage Site notable for a remarkable historical legacy of independent Renaissance culture. The main attraction of Urbino is the Palazzo Ducale, begun in the second half of the 15th century by Federico II da Montefeltro. It houses the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, one of the most important collections of Renaissance paintings in the world. Other interesting buildings include Palazzo Albani (17th century), Palazzo Odasi and Palazzo Passionei, the Albornoz Fortress, and the Duomo (cathedral). Trip includes entrance ticket for Ducal palace.
GUBBIO (Session #1- June 5 & Session #2- July 3)
Gubbio is a town and commune in the far northeastern part of the Italian province of Perugia (Umbria). It is located on the lowest slope of Mt. Ingino, a small mountain of the Apennines. The historical center of Gubbio is of decidedly medieval: the town is austere in appearance because of the dark grey stone, narrow streets, and Gothic architecture. The main monuments of the city include: the Roman Theatre, the Roman Mausoleum, the Palazzo and Torre Gabrielli, the Duomo (Cathedral), and the Palazzo Ducale. Trip includes entrance ticket for Ducal palace.
GABICCE (Session #1- June 12 & Session #2- July 10)
Gabicce Mare is a commune (municipality) in the Province of Pesaro e Urbino in the Marche region. Gabicce Mare gives a physical sense of something new; it is the changing face of nature. Spend the day on the beach or stroll along the promenade.
