Minor in Spanish

A foreign language minor will broaden your job prospects and help you develop a more well-rounded education. This program contributes to Millikin's goals of preparing students for:

  • professional success, 
  • democratic citizenship in diverse and global communities/environments, and
  • a personal life of meaning and value.

To earn a minor in Spanish, you must complete 12 credits above SP223: Intermediate Spanish.

Minor in French

A foreign language minor will broaden your job prospects and help you develop a more well-rounded education. This program contributes to Millikin's goals of preparing students for:

  • professional success, 
  • democratic citizenship in diverse and global communities/environments, and
  • a personal life of meaning and value.

The French language courses are conducted in the target language and the cultural, historical components of the France and the Francophone worlds are included in all the courses from elementary classes to the upper division classes. The students are progressively informed on the diversity of the French speaking world.

To earn a minor in French, a student must complete a minimum of 12 credits hours above French 223 (Intermediate). In an upper division, the student can take 4 of these following courses:

  • Français 301: French conversation
  • Français 302: French composition
  • Français 303 :Topics in Francophone Culture
  • Français 350: Study abroad in France (Paris and Lyon) 
  • Français 360: French for Business
  • Français 360: French and Francophone Cinema
