On-Campus Job Opportunities

Many biology students work for the department to earn money. Student workers may:

  • Serve as lab assistants for biology courses.
  • Prepare materials for labs and maintain inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Care for plants in the greenhouse and for research animals in the animal care facility.
  • File, type and perform other office tasks.

Most students typically work 10 hours per week, with some working more as schedules permit. These jobs fulfill work-study financial aid requirements. For an application, contact Natural Sciences Administrative Assistant Sue James at 217-424-6230 or sjames@millkin.edu.
