The Millikin University Security Department provides daily Safe Ride services from dusk to dawn for Millikin students and employees. To ensure safe travel to and from campus locations, a marked van is used seven days a week to transport passengers. Student drivers operate the van in rotating shifts until midnight. After midnight, a security officer on duty provides safe rides either on foot or in a security vehicle. This effort to keep Millikin safe has been a big success. Last academic year, the Security Department provided 7,495 Safe Rides.
