MOST OF US - Social Norming Campaign 
In the fall of 2004 Millikin University adopted a social norm model to address student wellness issues. The social norms approach is one of the fastest growing approaches to combat student health issues and the related problem behaviors. 

Social norming theory states that students are affected by their peers' behavior. As a result, if students believe their peers engage in certain behaviors, he/she will do the same. Unfortunately, students tend to overestimate problem behavior and underestimate healthy behavior. For example, most students believe that the average student uses marijuana at least twice a month while in reality 69% of Millikin students report  never having tried marijuana.

Through the "Most of Us" campaign, the University disseminates factual information regarding student behavior.  The goal of the campaign is to shift student perceptions towards the norm. The 2013 social norming campaign is "You Think You Know."
